Abrasives and surface conditioning products are used to clean, deburr, grind, lap, buff, cut or polish surfaces to a desired finish to provide clarity, smoothness or as preparation for paint, soldering or buffing. Surface conditioning may be used to prepare the cut end of a fiber optic cable before installation.
