Eaton Electronics' Bussmann series of PolyTron polymer positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resettable overcurrent protection devices are offered in a wide range of surface mount packages in 0805, 1206,1210, and 1812 EIA standard sizes. The PTSLR series are using a developed polymer-based construction that has initial resistance as low as 1 mΩ, minimizing power dissipation in the device during normal operation. This minimizes voltage drop in low power applications like low voltage handheld equipment and improves response times for applications like USB and data port protection.
