Würth Elektronik iBE's WE-FLAT-I is an energy storage inductor. The winding creates a magnetic field in the ferrite core. The magnetic energy is stored within the built-in air gap. The WE-FLAT-I is designed with the AEC-Q vibration specification in mind. Having a robust plastic spacer with an additional solder pad creates a superior shock resistant component.
