The advantages of the metallurgical bonded Dumet and NTC is that it creates a physical joint, the physical joint leads to increased robustness against intermittent and open circuit failures. The GE series DO-35 and MELF package thermistors are well suited for severe environments where thermal shock and severe vibration are encountered. This series and package increases the ability for the product to be ultrasonically welded because the NTC can withstand higher impulses of energy compared to competitive parts.
