PMIC: CP240x LCD Driver Family Slide 2
The CP240x is a standalone, fixed-function LCD driver that generates the drive signals for static or multiplexed LCDs. It has been designed to interface directly to any MCU via a standard SPI or SMBus/I²C interface. The CP2400 and CP2401 48-pin devices can control up to 128 LCD segments while the CP2402 and CP2403 32-pin devices can control up to 64 LCD segments. Most importantly, the CP240x family has been designed with low power in mind - when paired with the F91x/0x, the combined solution from Silicon Labs offers the industry’s lowest power solution for LCD applications. Other CP240x features that customers may find valuable include: integrated LDO voltage regulator to maintain ultra-low active current at all voltages, 4 power modes that can be used to minimize overall power consumption, low power blink capability and 256 bytes of general purpose RAM that can expand the memory available to the host controller. The CP240x family is supported by the CP2400 (SPI) and CP2401 (I²C) development Kits. The development kit is a full featured tool designed to test the complete functionality of the device. Both kits include a 128-segment alpha-numeric LCD development board, a C8051F930 target board, quick start guide, evaluation version of Keil 8051 development tools, USB debug adaptor, power adaptor, USB cables, and AAA batteries.
