Eaton offers a comprehensive solution combining a LAN transformer and a common mode choke in a single module. LAN transformers play a crucial role in local area networks (LANs): they filter noise, provide electrical isolation, and enhance signal integrity. Vital for LAN applications, this series safeguards circuits against electrostatic discharges and high-voltage transients. LAN transformers are responsible for seamless connectivity and communication in Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) systems, VoIP phones, or network cameras. These LAN transformers comply with IEEE 802.3 standards making them suitable for automotive applications such as ADAS, radar, audio/visual data, V2X, and essentially all ECU modules communicating via an Ethernet network. The LTA1V is AEC-Q200 tested and ensures a dependable interface between the PHY (physical layer) and the external connector.
